Therapist/PT
(AT work specialization

Job Description:
|
·
Assessment of SCI patient/PWDs who may benefit from the use of
Assistive Technology for the purpose of assisting in providing Customized
Assistive Device that enhance their Independence
·
Provide clinical & technical assistance and training to the
patients for the purpose of ensuring their ability to use new and/or existing
devices and collaborating with appropriate instructional
·
Suggest/guide fabricate/modify/repair various assistive devices for
the purpose of maintaining the independence and the device in the safe and
functional operating conditions.
·
Train AT users to use various assistive technology devices; teach
assistive technology classes to students, patients and interns.
·
Collaborate and consult with other rehab staff on assistive
technology evaluations of the in-patients and out-patients
·
Participate in continuing training and workshops to keep current with
developments in assistive technology field.
·
Play a role of Research Assistant or Project Assistant in the various
clinical trials and studies in the field of Assistive Technology. Interest
should also be for proposal writing.
·
Perform other duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the
efficient functioning of the work.

Professional Experience
|
·
At least 1 year experience with adaptive technology
·
Analytical, communications and organizational skills generally
acquired with completion of a degree or certification program.
·
Minimum 1 year of experience at renounced hospital/Rehabilitation
Centre/NGO/Special School with people with disabilities, especially with SCIs
and also in academic or service provision activities relevant to the duties
and responsibilities.
