The British Journal of Occupational Therapy will publish a special issue in 2017 on ‘Assistive Technology’, guest edited by Professor Suzanne Martin and Dr Alex Mihailidis. For this special edition we have adopted the broad definition of assistive technology adopted in Cook and Hussey’s Principles of Assistive Technology: ‘Any item, piece of equipment or product system whether acquired commercially off the shelf, modified, or customized that is used to increase, maintain or improve functional capabilities of individuals with disabilities’.

The deadline for submissions for this special issue is March 31, 2006
